Evolutionary Elobeing Traces

This is the Wholeo Online entry to the Prix Ars Electronica 2006 International Competition for CyberArts. See the description, technical requirements for viewing, or portrait and biography.

Description

The entry is the latest addition to a basic theme of evolution as shown in the introduction to wholeo.net: "On the search for the whole self, model the normal human psyche, show how it changes with expansion of consciousness, and design a new species based on the principles discovered in the process". I call the new species Elobeing. The following description is edited from the movie page, Story of Elobeing - Traces to EIE All, which builds on a series introduced as Elements called traces.

Since we've previously channeled evolution, setting, design, and other aspects in cross-references for Elobeing, if we're quiet and keep an imaginative eye open, we catch glimpses of Elobeing in action. The cast includes these structures of psyche: sound, feelies, background, traces, and EIE. See also credits and how to use the buttons in the movie.

Sound

Voices of possibility sound through and through. Voices chant as the traces in the Elobeing banners flow downward when the EIE peeks from above. The chant has parts:

1. Bru ju ho, Ar juna ho, Fer a zil, M'hail kree came to me in Peru (and also this page), so it is called the Lake Titicaca chant. It is a call for and connection to energy for evolution.
2. Tsks, are in the ending of the Lake Titicaca chant shown in a series following this page.
3. Arejev, EIE-nor, Zoi Toule, Pleek, Erg is the Noint Joint chant. It shows a mechanism of evolving.
4. Dearch tooke, Fleng ee arhgh, Royce al plea-ere plea-ehia croont is the Undivided chant. The process is shown following the Noint Joint Pleek page. It shows a mechanism of evolving.

These chants are a part of carolyoga daily routine.

 

Feelies

Sensors of perception.

Feelies are "Tufty, like chenille. Soft, fluid, feathery, like sea anemones. CLB yellow".

Background

Language of ancient civilizations.

The setting has something to do with language, as do the sounds.

• Visually it resembles the last image in the Life series on this page: http://www.wholeo.net/Trips/Art/SI/drawing/lifeSI.htm, although that relates to human mind.
• The vertical tilts are like the horizontal tilting of the writing in the book Light Body, for example this page: http://www.wholeo.net/Trips/Wholeo/BooksOnline/LightBody/lb6f.htm, although that is alphanumeric.
• It reminds me of the layered language recorded on this page: http://www.wholeo.net/Trips/Wholeo/BooksOnline/otwtmp/otwtmpG19f.htm, although that recalls ancient civilizations.
• Notice the repeated use of the prefix "re". These images are a process of recollection. The original experience is reexperienced to record it. The language coming now is direct, current, being collected, experienced in the present.

 

Traces

Elements of action.

I don't know how the elemental traces in this movie relate to the essence of an Elobeing. But it is a way to show up, reveal, or track the essential ways of Elobes, as we might come to know them. A quick sketch of the original vision appears to the right. Upon pondering, I remembered a mysterious chevron in Leo Geary's work. See it here: http://www.wholeo.net/Caroling/leo/images/leoPent10.jpg. It looks like a right triangle. Spin off a copy from each angle and we've got a tetrahedronal anomaly. Good enough.

EIE

Five-fold expanded consciousness evolving from Gaia beings.

The EIE is the structure of expanded consciousness, here flying with the Elobeing banners. See cross-references to EIE.

Technical requirements for viewing

A visitor with any access to the web opens the page, but a Macromedia Flash 8+ plug-in on a PC or Macintosh platform is required. You need Flash 8+ to see the Flash animation. You need speakers to hear the sound. Demands on the computer processor and graphics capability are high. On an older, slower computer with less memory or if the movie starts and stops, replay it.

Caroling is an old artist who created the environment, Wholeo Dome (http://www.wholeo.net/wholeodome.htm), in medieval stained glass on a geodesic dome frame. The Wholeo quest continues the search for the whole self. Worked as electronic technician and programmer, but most recent and relevant experience was as technical writer at Silicon Graphics, Inc. (SGI, http://www.sgi.com), for interactive TV. Now full-time art webber or web artist of www.wholeo.net, her ambition is to promote whole being for herself and all. This includes visions of modeling the normal human psyche, showing how it changes with expansion of consciousness, and designing a new species based on the principles discovered in the process. It is the evolutionary Elobeing. Caroling grew up in the middle of the USA but has lived on all coasts (currently Florida) with three life-changing trips abroad: Europe (1954), Peru/Bolivia (1981), and New Zealand (1996).
