These photos are from the Christchurch, NZ vicinity. It might be over Lyttelton toward the Banks Peninsula. That is over Summit Rd, away from Christchurch. You would see Christchurch around and behind the hills to the left.
The Sign of the Bellbird, site of Leo's memorial service, is back to the far left along the ridge. Near where the paragliders took off. I don't know when these pictures were taken but I believe they are by Leo.
