{Back to top of page}42 people photographed by two TV video reporters gathered in support of a national candlelight vigil event organized by moveon.org. The Panhandle Chapter of the ACLU was represented. The event leader started reading the Bill of Rights and passed it around the group for others to read each amendment to the Constitution out loud. The crowd cheered each item and waved their signs in recognition that our president has broken these laws by authorizing secret wire-tapping of citizens. For a slideshow of pictures from around the country, see http://www.moveon.org/r?r=1491. The stills are here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/moveon/sets/72057594069597286/. The event announcement is here: http://political.moveon.org/event/events/index.html?action_id=34. The Move On link won't be good for long, so get it while you can. So many issues, so little memory. Back to year 2006 or a Wholeo Move On list.
