Earthball gradually opening from November 20-26, 2018

Near Out Back 2018

In November 2018, this earthball opened a bit more each day. On Nov. 22, Thanksgiving Day, the moon was full. On the seventh day, Nov. 26, the fungi was filled with rain water. Lunar perigee means the moon's eccentric orbit was closest to earth at any time during the month. This information was on the calendar. The photos vary with the time and light of day as well as camera placement and settings. See a larger photo of the earthball on Nov. 24. Larger photo on Nov. 26.

This earthball is in the firebreak at the edge of the Pt. Washington State Forest, to the east of Eastern Lake, north of Hwy 30A, Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. As were predecessors.
