This sandy road leads to fragile but beautiful and interesting restoration area. It is about 3/4 mile north of Scenic Highway 30A. Following the road north leads out of the park or to other roads within it.

This hike is a round trip north of 30A on park service forest roads. The white sand is hard-packed and the change in elevation is a special treat in usually flat Florida. A little over halfway there is a small creek running toward the lake. A stepping stone or two is all I've ever needed.
Parking along the right of way (ROW) on the north side of 30A by the side of the road. Coming east from the power station, park on the first road to the left (north) before the lake. Coming west from the park entrance, park on the first road to the right (north), past the lake.
Season Anytime. I like to walk in the forest from October through April when it is not too hot and buggy.
