Spring Girl

"Spring Girl", oil painting by Carol Hoorn Fraser

Susan Lesch sent this picture and story. Her father, Robert A. Lesch, owns this painting, which the family calls "The Green Lady".

At the old Walker Art School in Minneapolis, Carol Hoorn was working in a studio and had only just roughed this painting in, in just a few minutes. My father walked in, looked and said, "Stop!" She agreed and did (stop).

A Walker Art Center 1956 Biennial tag is stapled to the back. The tag says "Spring Girl" and "Carol L. Hoorn", 527 Oak St S.E. Minneapolis with the date "56" and "NFS". The stretcher is about 33x42 inches.
