5 This is interesting for several reasons.
Discontinuities can be caused (or described) by division by zero. The fact that it is as common as breathing non-localizes ./0; doesn't allow it to reside at any particular location on a diagram.
The last sentence suggests a possibility of reincarnation or of
life after death.
Mathematically, discontinuity means (utterly) undefined. But sleep is more like a change of pace, so he makes discontinuity more normal, understandable, perhaps...notable.
