Island Beach SP False Reindeer Lichen

I love the colors of the orchid flowers and golden stones against the seafoam-colored lichen. Mistakenly thinking that Beach Heather (Hudsonia Tomentosa) was tormented, I called the colors tormentosa, simply a made-up word. Photographed July 24, 2009. View image. See Zoomify version.
