Inoutfall Opening

On April 23, 2018 watch as the closed Coastal Dune Lake breaks through the sandy beach and rushes out into the Gulf, meeting the incoming surf in standing waves. A visitor to the area, Matt describes how he saw it start from a 4" wide depression quickly growing to 3m. I had walked east along the unbroken shore at 8AM. Walking back west at 9AM the interchange between lake and Gulf was in full force. See little fishes swept away and a runner stopped short. Eight minutes of breaking fresh water meets salt.
