Creek Tea Runoff Greets Spring Aqua Aquifer
Limestone Release
Elements Emerge
{Back to top of page}These three photos are from the Williford Springs path along Econfina Creek, Florida.
Walking here puts me in touch with the real Florida, the porous limestone worn with water, revealing clear turquoise springs from the deep fresh aquifer below that enter creeks of tea-stained forest runoff. In my many pictures I looked for equal features of gnarly rock, water, sky, vegetation, and green very green moss. I chose these three for submission to MKEI photo contest Mattie M. Kelly Cultural & Environmental Institute at Northwest Florida State College (MKEI).
Back to Econfina Creek 2014 where under Sinkholes, you can see the other images not chosen, but it was a very tough decision. Each one has its own features.
