After a mandala sand painting is complete it is dismantled and dispersed. This movie shows dismantling the mandala. As the web site says, "sweeping up the colored sands to symbolize the impermanence of all that exists." Half of sand is given to the audience as blessings for personal health and healing.

In the event, the lamas and guests take the remaining sand to a flowing body of water. They ceremonially pour it in to disperse the healing energies of the mandala throughout the world. I symbolized that intention on the end page.
