Deer Lake State Park - Unit Mangement Plan

The Unit Management Plan update takes a long time. "After this thorough public review, department staff makes revisions to the draft plan, as needed. The draft plan is then presented to the Acquisition and Restoration Council. The council hears the plan at an additional public hearings. The council may approve the plan or send it to the Trustees for consideration."

"To allow ample time for citizens to review and comment, DEP posts the draft unit management plan on its website for approximately a month, and accepts comment throughout this time period." I learned of the meeting on May 31, 2016. Later I learned that the Advisory Group meeting the next day is also public and important to attend. DEP takes comments on the plan through June 22.
