Deer Lake State Park 2011

Note in 2013. So far, Deer Lake State Park has remained open since an unmanned collection sign and stand was installed. The fees support park expenses. However, rumors are that developers seek to purchase the park.

Alert! Deer Lake State Park is at risk of being closed or sold for tax revenue by the Florida legislature due to mandatory budget cuts. Governor Scott says the parks will stay open, but can we depend on him to recognize and veto line items?
