Loosely woven elements of grass, needles, flowers, birds, leaves, pollen, light, and dark form independent but integrally related patterns. It is out of doors and away from the planes of perspective, buildings, or cubist underpinnings. The shimmering illusion doesn't look solid. But if you step in with bare feet, it will feel thicker. You sink through soft grasses growing up and stiff, prickly pine needles or crunchy leaves falling around, with flowers feeling thicker. Warm pollen soaks into the moisture below, cooling, sticking mud. Birds fly off as shadows dance with your entrance.
