This page shows our view of the stars as we go around the sun for a year and the sun makes a little progress around the galaxy, carrying us along. The ecliptic, or sun path is in purple. It goes up in June and down in December for the solstices. In between are the equinoxs of March and September.
The 31 great circle grid is a structure of an inner eye.
With QuickTime 3, the links are labels with text at the bottom of the display. There are many hotspots for text labels of stars and constellations. For now, the labels are not linked to anything. In between, twirl and whirl with the unearthly freedom of quick time.
