Terms
British Red Soldiers is probably Jester Lichen (Cladonia leporina). Fungus, plural is fungi, is the mycobiont. Alga, plural is algae, is the photobiont. Together, their partnership is symbiotic. Taxonomy: plant kingdom, division, class, order, family, genus, species, sub-species. Cladonia is classified as a genus in the Fungi kingdom as part of Cladoniaceae family in the order Lecanorales. In 2009 Cladina is called Cladonia.Back to deer lichen or Lookout.
