waterThree friends have disliked this week's creation, "Dissolving Earth and Sky", which is a whirling bowl of water under a whizzing-by, natural dome of trees and sky. The QTVR movie moves unnaturally fast. You can grab it, stop it, spin it at any rate you please. But people don't usually realize that, even if they stoop to scroll down and read the cryptic directions or deign to interact and explore the interface of a QuickTime object movie. I present it as a thank you to water, an offering to the sky. It is an act of solstice and my entry to the international World Wide Panorama project, Water theme, which opens 5 July 2005.

"Date created: 23 June 2005" - started dating the last line of each new page with this field. I will put it on every old page I modify, if I can determine when it was created. Inquiring minds want to know.

sculptureA visit to the sculpture studio garden of the creators of the Shoal Sanctuary resulted in a few photos. They seemed to lead to each other organically in texture, shape, and context. I merged these impressions in a Flash movie. The movie does not do justice to the individual pieces, but is an homage to their relationships. The disc rippled glass to reflections of water. The octagonal shape of the fountain to the octagonal studio. The sculpture to the sculptor. The face to the totem pole. The piercings to the oracle. The marble to the glass loops around.

bus at ETC at The FarmFinished the movie, Visit
to the Ecovillage Training Center
(ETC) to go with the images published 26 May 2005. The image here shows one of the buses from the original caravan following Stephen Gaskin to The Farm in 1971. "They stayed" refers to the fact that the buses are still here and the movement is alive and well. These buses are ghostly hulks, biding their time while a Farm Historical Society evolves them into a museum.

This week a second cataract operation matched the left to the right eye in cyborg crystal vision. I chose interocular lenses that focus between reading and infinity. I now see the computer screens easily, so I can work with no glasses. O joy. However, my Y2K computer hard disk crashed, forcing instant migration to a laptop, which luckily is well-connected to the large external drives where movies happen.

The surgery day was a new moon. Looking forward to the full moon quite close to the solstice on June 21. I'm thinking of the World Wide Panorama shoot theme: water, and what I'll photograph next week for that solstice event.

peace sign

Added images and a short movie of a visit to Shoal Sanctuary. In the picture, the co-owner points out the peace sign. It's a friendly gesture in a peaceful place, a nature preserve with sculpture trails. The steep trail to Grotto Ravine is paved with stepping blocks and railings. The light piercing the depths glared against the dark so the movie is too contrasty, but the trickling sounds, wet greens, and pooled blue sky are worth viewing.

Updated the Death Vision page with news that a transition healing could take place in Wholeo Dome or as previously planned, online. Click the Point of Contact button and read on. contact
